I'm getting over the flu

I have been extremely sick for almost 2 weeks. I have the flu. I guess in my weweakened state I also got a stomach bug to top it off. I hope I NEVER get it again. The only thing this has put me a little behind in is getting the 2 ape figures and Capt. America out. Luckily they go to the same person and I'll have them in the mail Thursday. Everything else, including stuff for the raffle was sent out. GAfan I included an EMCE Spock for your patience.

My real question is, does the flu shot really work? If so, I'll never miss it again. I'm only at about 80% and it's the best I felt in a while.

tx that sucks i have been sick a while now too not as bad as you were but i deffinitly jnow somewhat the feeling hope you get 100% really fast as summer is comin time to crack a beer and enjoy the sun.. cant do that when your sick

Usually get shots for the kids, but I haven't had one in ages. I've been fortunate enough to avoid the flu this year, as well as the last several. Hope you're back to normal soon...

The 2 years I missed my flu shot are the years I came down with the flu. So I do my best to get a flu shot.

Hi John, No problems here. I hope that you get better real soon. It sucks being sick. I personally have never had a flu shot that I can remember anyway. I just do not believe in them myself. So far so good. Knock on wood anyway.

My sister-in-law swears by the flu shot.
She gets the shot every year, and she claims to never catch the flu.
I'm a little bit skeptical. I don't get the shot, and I haven't had the flu.

I'm just recovering from a bout of Flu that hit me like a ton of bricks on Saturday (my lovely Spouse had been battling it for most of last week).

I'm generally pretty hardy (I often am unaffected by illness she brings home) so I stopped going to City Hall for my free Official Socialized Government Universal Canadian Healthcare Flu Shot a couple of years ago. I think I'll be starting them again in the Fall.

Aww Man that Sucks. I hope you feel better Soon. The flu shot is basically a guess to what strains might be out there. Sometimes its right on the money. They say that even if it's not the correct strain it still helps alot. I haven't had a flu shot since I got out of the military. A couple times I got really sick but I'm pretty stuburn so I'm gonna keep holding off

I've watched my wife, kids and co-workers get sick, but I've dodged the bullet so far. (Pardon me while I search for some wood to knock on). Sorry to hear you were sick, I know whatever strain is going around has been brutal. I've thought about getting a flu shot, but I've never had one. Looking forward to Spock.
