I don't think making fun of her death is cool...yeah...she was a porn star...she had sex on screen...but she was not a thief, a child abuser, or a murderer...so I say we should cut her some slack on this thread.

Having said that though...if she overdosed on some drugs...then she brought it upon herself.

I am guilty of too many things to judge a person for having sex on screen---
or make light of their death---actually, I'm an adult movie fan
and I'm pretty sure I've seen her act throughout the years.

I'll tell ya one thing, I read the great book THE OTHER HOLLYWOOD
and she was discussed in it a lot---if you have any serious interest
in the adult film industry, you should check it out.

I was shocked when I heard the news. She was still pretty young, and from what I heard, healthy. I've also heard from people who met her that she was a very nice, grounded person. What a shame.

I remember first seeing her when I "borrowed" my father's video of INSATIABLE. Not long after I saw her in some of her other adult films as well as in David Cronenberg's horror film RABID. She was one of the better actresses in the adult genre (and this was back in the 70's when adult films had big budgets and were shot on actual film ) and she did have a real charisma and presence on the screen. RIP Marilyn.

I actually bought the DVD a few months back, watched it a few times, then sold it again. Honestly, one the few I've ever seen, but very well done for it's time. Never understood the mime bits.
