    I just saw something nuts!!

We just finished testing schoolwide and our students were being dismissed. As they were leaving most were exiting through a small hallway. Since there were so many kids trying to get in a narrow hallway they started to push each other and shove. Kids were falling down and got stepped on. I went into the middle of the crazyness to try to stop it and the mob almost knocked me down. I had to physically restrain some of the pushers to stop this ghastly scene. It lasted for about a minute and a half but seemed like forever. When myself and other teachers along with some A.P.'s finally got the situation under control there were crying kids and some with bumps and brusies. The hallway looked like a war zone and today I am ashamed of the kids that started this. Someone could have died and they thought it was funny.
I really wonder today what the hell their parents teach them as little kids. I would NEVER have done that as a kid and would have listened to my teachers. Some kids just kept acting like fools even after my yelling for them to stop. I can't believe I had no other choice but to get physical with those kids. Today is not a good day.

I just got finished with my day and wow, what a day. The kids ranged fron 13-14 and I was able to get some of the troublemakers to the office. I'm just glad the kids went home today. I need a stiff drink.

Wow. Glad no one was hurt. It's that mob mentality. What sucks is that some of the kids don't understand or refuse to understand the gravity of the situation.

It sounds as repulsive of the stories you hear of the stampedes that occur at Wal-Mart on Black Friday.

I swear I thought these stories were only half true until I experienced it first hand a few years ago when the Nintendo Wii came out. It was so bad at Wal Mart that they had to call the police to keep people under control and were literally escorting each of us lucky enough to get one to our car to make sure there wasn't any violence.

Kids these days generally have no respect or are the least bit afraid of adults. I have already told many stories on this board related to a few incidents already.

Glad you stepped in and were able to do the best you could given the circumstances.

You cant so much blame the kids, Its lack of parenting that causes these problems. They need to start holding parents responsible for thier kids actions. One of the problems is spanking being considered child abuse these days. My parents and anyone else in charge of me would whip my *** when I got out of line as a kid, alot of these kids today need exaclty that, a good *** whippin. They dont fear anyone anymore, so they dont care what they do. Ive been shocked latly at things ive seen kids do, talking back, cussing and generally acting like they need good one upside the head, maybe it will jar that brain a little and knock the cell phone they have permantly to thier head out of thier hands.................. Not to seem like I am violent or anything, but its true.

like I said, go bother someone who cares. Your a cancer who I choose not to deal with. I'm sure someone else will enjoy your wit. Your use of profanity shows your maturity. Move along good fellow, nothing more for you to see here. No reason for you to pollute my post with your posts.

inmature...i guess they don't have news in TX...I have many friends that are teaches and they deal with similar problems. just because you can't handle a true joke about the situation , then **** off.

PCofmisfittoys i dont know you so don't take offense to my opinion of this issue TX had.The guy had a hard day, wished to share it with us and you bash the guy with a lawsuit joke then tell him to F.O.because your not happy he did not agree with your humor,Here on a toy site..Maybe even after a few days i still think its uncalled for and nothing to laugh at.I have a kid and no way would she act like that, and if she did there would be accountability for her actions. She was pushed off the bus a month ago and suffered severe cuts and bruises to her face for another kids stupidity. The parents are more part of the problem today, and less of the solution!

I agree about kids and the family thing too, but the thing I picked up on in coaches post was this part "most were exiting through a small hallway" sounds like a little improper planning.
