Good News cover presentation AGAIN...tomorrow

Thank you all so much for your comments an input.

I just got back from the presentation.

The feeling I got is that the majority of the voting panel (about a dozen faculty members present...and more voters will get to see them later as well) really loved the Hummingbird one...although the head honcho (the Good News editor in chief) seemed to like the movie theater more.

It's going to be interesting...there were 14 other graphic artists competing too...and some submitted two covers like me...this year it was a lot more competitive...it's going to be tough defending my title, lol.

I like the huming birds.
Wow you look at the cover you won with then look at you new ones and you can see how you really progresses in a year. Your current art is (IMHO) much better.

The ship lacks depth and gradients...it's very flat.

Both show a WORLD of improvement over the first... not that the first was bad, but your latest ones show a depth and tone that's missing from the first.

. Hector, your stuff is incredible. There's a kind of feeling of the 70s in a lot of what you do... without a full-on retro look. Lots of talent and lots of work it seems to me.
