My niece just graduated from the police academy

She's actually my cousin's daughter...but were are close...so I consider her my niece.

I'm so proud of her.

I'm still amazed someone that petite became a cop...but she's one tough cookie.

She grew up in a very abusive household.

Her father was a major dick...he used to beat up their mom in front of them...a real a**hole.

The last straw is when her older brother turned into a man...and told the dad that if her ever touched their mom again...he was going to kill him.

The jerk left for good about ten years ago...and they have not heard from him ever since.

I think that's the reason why she eventually became a cop.
