bang out of order - more paypal dilema

thats it ive had it with paypal and ebay for good!

im gonna wrap up my recent sales and call it a day

check this latest ebay and paypal "clause" copied and pasted from my account

    ----------
We're holding the funds for 2 payments that you've received for items sold on eBay.

The total amount on hold in your account is: £16.13 GBP

PayPal and eBay are working together to make it safer than ever to buy on eBay. One of the boldest steps is to identify transactions that pose the greatest risk of fraud and holding the payments from sellers for a period of time to help ensure that the transactions go smoothly.

To get access to the funds sooner, please post the item as soon as possible. We'll release the payment for the eBay item when one of the following occurs:

The buyer leaves you positive feedback on eBay.
It's been 21 days since the payment date and you haven't received a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal on the transaction being held
    -----------

ok its only £16 odd... but thats my money, look at the if the buyer leaves "positive" feedback... so if they leave neutral or negative feedback they get the goods and the money back! or at least i dont get the money regardless!

guys, the quicker the masses dump this dictatorship of ebay and paypal the better

holding my money and telling me to post the items quick is not what its all about, of course ill get my goods out quick, what right have they got to tell me what to do

there is £16 on hold... if i saw a toy i wanted to buy for £16 i cant

gonna have to use an alternative now

paying for goods direct by paypal may still be ok but i wont have any funds in there anyway as ill pack ebay in

    terrible

New sellers have their account on hold until the item is received. I don't get the fact that you have to use Paypal on eBay and they won't even clear the shipping portion of your payment before the buyer receives the item.

They are all idiots! I have been selling/buying on Ebay for 8+years and it has only gotten worse. Wait till Paypal takes $100 out of your account and keeps it even though the item has been recieved. Uh OH you didn't have signed proof of delivery. Naughty Naughty.

Sadly I no longer work for myself but for Ebay. I can no longer state that I ship once a week because if the item isn't reieved by buyer in 7 days they can file a Paypal claim. Paypal then holds funds even after item has been recieved. It can take 2 or 3 weeks to free up funds.

I have spent the last year retraining for another job field. I hope to be done with Ebay or have it be a very minor part of my life soon.

I started with ebay in 1997 as just a buyer. naturally i moved into the selling part by 2000. It has blown my mind to watch just how fast they have fallen. Just a few years ago they were doing fantastic and actually had good customer service. Ever try calling paypal/ I am so ticked by the time i get a real operator it is crazy and it is brought on by the pathetic phone service. it used to be fun to buy and sell on ebay. days of the little guy like me who sells some stuff just to feed my buying addiction are long gone as it is tough to make money when you get charged over and over.

25% percent of my sales were overseas not anymore. Signed Delivey confirmation costs $25-35 for Overseas/Canada postage. So instead of $10-15 postage is $25-30 for Overseas Expressmail. Without signature buyer claims are automaticly refunded by Paypal. US Customs # and Mail reciept are no longer proof of shipment. You have to have proof of delivery in that country i.e. a signature.

Don't know if anyone noticed but there isn't compurter tracking info using the Customs number anymore for 1st class. I once had a 1st Class Air mail package to Italy sit in New York for 3 weeks before Post Office shipped it off. Took 5 weeks to arrive to Italy Air Mail not usual but stuff happens.

Yes, coming from an overseas perspective, I see the prices of postage these days and just shut the auction...it's crazy and I am just not prepared to pay $30 to post a $10 item for example. It's really frustrating.

Ok. Orphans! Listen to Ignacio. I know it is fun to wrestle. A nice piledrive to the face... or a punch to the face... but you cannot do it. Because, it is in the Bible not to wrestle your neighbour.

Had a seller decide to charge shipping on a BIN FREE SHIPPING auction. She did refund my money but ebay won't let me state the facts. Can't leave neg or neutral feedback at all! I could have driven across town to pickup the item for less than half what they wanted to ship it.

Man that SUCKS! eBay is out of control!

Here's an alternative: iOffer: A place to buy, sell trade

And they will import your eBay feedback.

I've been selling on ioffer for over a year, and I've unfortunately only had a mere fraction of the business I have on ebay. Who knows, maybe someday they will really increase their traffic, but they really have tons of catching up to do at this point. But listing is free, so I just keep trying the place.
