My Dream of Quarterbacking and/or Pitching for LSU is Over!!!

I have torn my rotator cuff and will have surgery on it Thursday morning.

The nurse I did my pre-op with today didn't have a very good bedside manor. First thing out of her mouth was, "You are about to have one of the most painful operations there is!"

Well, thanks lady, not like I have a ton of things on my mind, like being out of work for the next 8-12 weeks, how will I help take care of the girls, or how will I be able to post on Mego Museum/The Antique Tiger with one hand? Now you got me wondering "JUST HOW PAINFUL IS IT?!!!"

I am not worried about work, we have the insurance Aflac, I get 80% for up to 6 months.

As for the pain, I have a pretty high tolerance for it. It cannot hurt more than my shoulder did all week long.

Well, I will keep you updated, I still have 6 days until the knife. If I have some strange post, its the drugs talking!!!

Here's hoping they do some "bionic" surgery.
That way, your career in sports should be fine!

Seriously, I hope all goes well. Don't let "Nurse Pain" scare you. She probably moonlights in bad horror movies.....

Good luck, Tiger, rootin' for you, man. Not terrible pain-wise. What was she thinking?

I'm glad to see I'm not the only guy who still thinks a scout, eating his lunch in my local playground parking lot, while my team plays softball, sees me warming up and says: "No way that guy is 36! Where the f#@% are those extra contracts?"

You mean stranger than usual JK

Hang in there I've been dealing with a bad shoulder for the last 3 years. Nothing is torn, so I just have to rest it and deal with it. I know where you are coming from with that pain. Hopefully Nurse Rachet was just trying to give you the worst so that it won't feel so bad later.
                  It's all good!

ok, its done. i am in no pain what so ever because he put a nerve block in my neck, on the nerve that goes down my right arm. i have a feeling it will hurt tomorrow after the block wears off.

the good news, no damage to any tissue, so i should be good to go in a few weeks. he did have to shave down one bone in the shoulder a little because of an abnormality.

toys2cool, even on heavy pain killers, one arm, and the feeling like i am drunker than cooter brown, i still type better than you.

the only thing that hurts is my throat, from where they had the tube down my throat. i have no saliva, so it takes me an hour to eat one sandwich.
