5 Oakland cops shot, 3 dead, and 1 in critical condition

3 officers dead, suspect killed in Oakland, Calif.

The most tragic event in the history of the Oakland Police Department.

My town is on high alert right now.

I heard about this earlier in the night. I feel so bad for the Officers and there Familys. It's unbelievable and so Sad.

That's so horrible. Oakland is becoming such a scary place to live. Last year, one of my kids was shot, and he just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, taking his first piano lesson on Piedmont Ave. Now we're only 3 months into this year, and already so much tragedy has occured. It's such a sad thing. I feel bad for the families of those cops.

Man that sucks,Coming from a family of police officers(My real father which I don't really talk to and my brother in law are cops for City of Miami) and so are a lot of my friends from school.I hate reading when an officer dies in the line of duty

Thanks for asking. He graduated from grade school last year, and I really haven't seen a whole lot of him. But he's having he's birthday party at my center during the spring break. Kinda a reunion w/ his old buds party. I've heard that his spinal cord wasn't severed, but pinched by the bullet (that is still inside him), but he's beginning to move his feet a little. I've really missed him.

Not all of Oakland is like that...but East Oakland is pretty high crime (where that shooting happened).

I myself love Oakland, I know every single area like the back of my hand...I know where to hang out...and where to avoid.

I just saw on the news that a fourth cop died. 42 year old guy. sucks.
