Bad ebay seller

Purchased a Maryjane Barbie for 15 BIN with Free Shipping. Get an email from the seller. I made a mistake. When I took this item to the post office it was going to cost $12.00 to ship. Would you like to pay shipping or I can refund your paypal.

I guess some people just don't believe they enter into a binding contract!

I told her since she wasn't going to honor her legally binding contract that she can refund my paypal including the fee to accept it. She could probably drive it across town for 2 gallons of gas! Seller is about 20 miles from me!

I just sold a cookie jar on ebay.

I was lazy and just guessed the shipping price .. which I guessed $13.00

After the buyer won and paid I found out when I went to the PO it actually cost $21.00 shipping.

But, it was my fault and my mistake -- and I quietly took the hit without even mentioning it to my buyer.

It's the honorable and right thing to do.

That's just it. You can't force a seller to actually sell you something.
No more than a seller can force someone to actually pay for something.

Ebay won't do a thing about it either.
The only thing they can do is kick someone from their site. Which, they will let them turn right around and reregister with a different name anyway.

I've underestimated shipping on more than one occasion (especially in my ebay newbie days). Like Mike, I just took the hit myself, my mistake wasn't the buyer's fault.
