I hope it happens. It seems only.....logical.

They should premier it in prison

At least the audience can't walk out half way through

Being from the area, I find this sort of cool.

                Interesting notes about Vulcan Alberta:

I grew up about 30-40 minutes North of the place. The web-site (linked below) tells the story best, but I'll add my two bits-- Back in 95 or so, the town built a model of the Enterprise across the road from the gas station on the main highway. This little feature started drawing huge (for Vulcan) tourist crowds of Trekkies so they built a "space station" beside the Enterprise. Tourism growth continued so they renamed the town rodeo "Spock days", and started holding Trek conventions. they have really built a small industry around it.
The area itself is primarily dusty hot Alberta prairie. Besides the townsfolk and Farmers, the population is largely made up of Hutterites and Mennonite colonies (Mennonites are like a sect of not so strict Amish---Still very religous, without the outfits or rules about sticking to the old ways. Hutterites are like.....Well, on the colony they live a strict religous lifestyle like the Amish, except they use modern farm equipment. Off the colony they become wild men (the women arent allowed to do much) who drink, fight, and cuss...sorta like Klingons when you think about it! (I dont mean to be rude, but once off the colony, these guys really do go wild!)
Principal crops are mint, barley, wheat, and canola. In the heat of June and July you can actually smell the mint...everywhere! This is a good thing as it masks the stench of the ripening Canola!
Vulcan itself is an old cowtown that started in the late 1800s. In 1910, a CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway) mapmaker wanted to name the town Mount Olympus, because it was geographically the highest point in the area--(never know it to look at the area which is FLAT!). After some "discussions" with the cowboys and farmers of the area, the name Vulcan won out....some say because the townsite had the only blacksmith (and forge) in the area.
Today, Vulcan is still a proverbial one horse town. If it wasnt for a fibreglass Enterprise, and a weird looking little shack full of blinking lights and Star Trek character cardboard cut outs, nobody would know the place existed. A couple years ago, Marina Sirtis actually attended one of the conventions. She was on the news, and was polite and everything, but you could see the "what the..." look in her eyes as she stood at the side of a highway in the middle of nowhere with approximately 50 people standing around(many of whom were Hutterites who came by to see what the heck was going on) .

If they can pull this off, it will truly be an amazing feat...and I will definately be in town if Nimoy shows up! In a real world though....the logistics of making this work just dont add up.

There's something oddly reassuring about your almost total rejection of any new Star Trek.

Some of them may strike back and sue for cruel and unusual punishment. Gotta watch out for those crafty turds.
