The match that ended Bart Gunn's career as a superstar

    Wrestlemania 15.

    No...it wasn't a wrestling match...it was a boxing match against Butterbean...

    YouTube - Butterbean vs Gunn

This was not a "staged" bout...it was real.

In the Rock's book...he said that he and Steve Austin watched it live...and they were really concerned for Gunn's well-being after getting knocked out in 30 seconds of the first round.

    Nasty, nasty...knockout.

      He went to MMA.

He won some, and lost some.

I checked a few other Butterbean clips and from what I can tell if you're getting in the ring with Butterbean you're cruisin' for a bruisin'

That whole "Brawl for All" thing the WWE tried to do was really, really stupid.

Total mismatch. Not a big fan of unskilled butterbean but he had a lot of boxing experience. Way too much for this guy.

I have to say I remember seeing him on that worlds toughest man competition, and he wasn't pretty but he could take a punch and man when he landed one it was effective. His style was hit me until I hit you. I would have liked to see someone like this fight Tyson when he was good. Not to say BB was in Tyson's class at his peak by any means, but many of the fighters in that day tried to run and hide from Iron Mike and I'm not sure either would have backed down from each other. They basically had the same strategy, take a punch until you see an opening. It may have come down to who lands the first one. It would have been a fierce fight and I'm not sure Tyson ever got hit by any one as hard as BB hits. Not sure how Tyson would have handled a fight where he wasn't necessarily the aggressor at that stage of his career. I don't think it would have been a long fight but heavy hitting most likely. Probably better than some of the fights Tyson had.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

LOL...I remember watching that. That was back when the bean was in shape...LOL
Bart was dumb for thinking he even had a chance. The beens record consisted of like 36 K.O's at that point in his career.
That was a seriously sick knock out.

I beg to differ,Bart was a decent wrestler but he could also take a real punch.
Butterbean as big a joke as he is,was an extremely great knock out boxer.
Lets not forget there is no comparison between boxing and wrestling.
But yeah Bart could take a punch just not one coming with the power of the Bean!!!
I was a bouncer for a few years and know I can take a punch as well as give one but I think the bean would knock my @zz out!!!...If he connected...LOL

Nobody's mentioned the fact that BRAWL-4-ALL (wwf's version of a UFC type tuff man contest) was "supossed" to be won by Steve "Dr.Death" Williams.
Dr. Death was indeed a very tough individual and the wwf was giving him a big "push" with the expectation that he would win the tournament.
Bart Gunn knocked him senseless (as well as JBL in an earlier round).
He was indeed a tough dude, but lots of tuff dudes get KTFO!!
And Butterbean had tons more stand up experience than BG.
I think Bart was last wrestling in one of the Japanese promotions, which wrestle a lot more stiff than the US style.
