    They're out to get me!

This morning, on Friday the 13th, I walked into my bank, and the machine said I had exceeded my VISA limit.
I was nowhere near that, so I asked the woman at the counter.
She checked, and apparently a purchase had been made through an internet site using my VISA info! For $1,500!

So I canceled the card, sent in a formal enquiry for this particular purchase.
But now, I have to explain to a guy whose item I won on Ebay that I can't pay up. I have to cancel my pre-orders, because my VISA/Paypal is "frozen", etc.....
And they might charge me for the money while they check out what happened.

And want to hear the ironic part?
My purchase yesterday was for...a security camera for my house, because some unknown individual tresspassed on my property the day before.

Man, this depresses me to no end. I'm not safe in my house. I'm not safe on the net. I'm torn between wanting to stay in bed all day, or break someone's face.
    FRAK!

      damn, that really sucks.
it's getting more common. i have cancelled 2 cards recently.
i would recommend some fraud insurance. i added it to my home insurance policy for under $20 a year.

Somebody tried to access my paypal account a week or two ago! I didnt get stuck for anything I didnt buy, but their attempt caused my bank to smell something fishy and lock up my credit card (3 cheers for Canadian banks!). Took a couple days to get everything sorted out again.

Or was trying to access your wireless router if you use one to get access to stuff. If you have an unsecured wireless connection and your network is accessible they can access your stuff from any computer they can get the network to recognize.

I hate people sometimes. Honest, working folks can't catch a break from low-life thieves.

Why can't they steal from people that have a ton of money, and won't miss it?
                        I don't even own a car or a house.
I hope guys like these get caught and find out in jail what it means to be ****ed with...

                          Does anyone know:
If your VISA card is temporarily canceled (because of what happened to me), can your PayPal pre-orders still be processed, or do I need to cancel them?
I have some scheduled for end of the week......

That really sucks. Grrrr on your behalf.

Perhaps you could write to Paypal and just let them know what's happening and they can advise you.
