Not to step on your phallus there. As much as I admire Jeff Lynne, I would have to strongly disagree.
We are talking about Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, George Harrison and Bob Dylan also that were among that bunch.
The best one?
It would be a toss between George Harrison and Roy Orbison.More custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...

I'd always loved ELO, as well! To a large degree, I can thank my parents for it. I vividly remember my parents having ELO albums in the living room. The UFO covers, the Wicked Witch grabbing for Dorothy's ankles, etc.
I seem to have a lot of ELO's music going through my head on a regular basis.
Jeff Lynne is really great. I also love him because he was such a good friend of and to George Harrison (who I also love).

>Musically, ELO is Queen without the fluff
Never thought of it like that.... I think ELO was too mellow for later audiences, and that's why they aren't considered more imoprtant. Queen adapted to the guitar heavy later 80's, whereas ELO kept a sound that most would consider 70's, and old, and therefore irrelevant. (Since it's always about the next big thing.)
