I taught with Ray, a friend of mine, about 5 years ago at our district's alternative school. Ray was a good guy and we ate lunch with a group of friends about once a month to keep in touch and catch up. I got a call today from another friend today telling me that Ray had a massive heart attack and died this morning. I'm saddened but that's only part of the story. Ray had no family (he did but they didn't want anything to do with him) and was all alone. While Ray was dying he had no one by his side. He died alone. I feel bad that Ray won't have a funeral or family to mourn him. I tell this to you so you remember that your relationships are important. I hope none of us have to die like Ray, alone in the world.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. Unfortuneately I know just how hard it is to lose a good friend. Take some time, try and come to terms with it, know he is a better place.
