Disney's Zorro on DVD

So the wife and I rejoined the Disney Movie Club now that we have a daughter and need to catch up on the Princess movies. We were in it a few years back, and I kept hoping Disney would release their classic Zorro series on DVD, but they never did. Even worse, all the Disney channels went to all kid-material. No more "Vault Disney", so no Zorro on TV.

Well, as soon as we got our first new membership catalog, there they were; Zorro seasons 1 and 2! When they finally arrived here, I couldn't wait. I was slightly disappointed that they were the colorized versions. The colorization isn't bad on the flesh tones and clothes, but the scenes at night look like daytime, which kills the mood. No problem for me though. I just crank my color saturation down to the bare minimum every time I pop a disc in, and there you go!

This show holds up really well, and the continuity from episode to episode is really well done. My son is hooked. He got upset that I watched an episode after he went to bed, and I had to watch it with him again!

Unfortunately, they are club exclusive releases. Although I'm sure you can find it on Amazon or ebay if you don't want to join the club.

Oh, and Guy Williams was the best Zorro period of course!

Now that I have this on DVD, all that' left is Batman 66. We can dream...

I would Love to get my hands on that Zorro set. I had a great time watching the re-runs as a kid. Another item for my wish list
