    Escape To Witch Mountain

This wasn't the first movie I saw as a child, but it was one of the early ones I remember being really into. The release of the new versio ad me hunting down the old. I don't remember a lot of the details, but I do remember getting into it. Early signs of geekery, I suppose. Anybody else have fond memories.

I remember seeing it new in the theatre and the TV promo trailers, but I really don't remember anything else about it.

That was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I got a hold of the book way back when, but it fell apart due to old age.

I have another copy now, just as old, so I'm real careful about how many times I read it.

I loved Eddie Albert in the movie, and I was sorry that he wasn't in the sequel. The second sequel doesn't even bear mentioning, it was so bad.

For YEARS, I wanted my own starbox, but never got one.

Stupid merchandisers, not making copies for sale.

One of my faves. Gonna get the DVD's of the originals to watch with my daughter. Hope this remake is good. I like the Rock, just not sure if he was the right choice for this character. I'm sure I'll go see it any way.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

This and its sequel were 2 of my fave movies as a kid. I remember seeing it when it first came out. I recorded it off the Disney channel some years back (remember when you had to pay extra for it, and they still showed classic Disney flicks?) I've broought it to my school before, but it's been a few years. Maybe it's time to bring it back! Hey, I hear Kim Richards (who played Tia) is doing a cameo in this one.

I think the boy was Scotty's nephew on Wrath of Khan.

I saw this originally in the theatre as well....I used to love those old Disney live action flicks....The Shaggy D.A., One of Our Dinosaurs Is Missing, The North Avenue Irregulars, The Million Dollar Duck.....The Disney Channel used to show these old movies late night on weekends several years ago under the Vault Disney banner. Alas, now overnight viewing consists of reruns of That's So, Raven.

Ike Eismann is the kid from Fantastic Journey to me.

Was there a Goldkey comic of this? I've never seen the movie but I swear I've read a poorly drawn rendition of the story. They're aliens right?

Yes, Tony and Tia are aliens.

According to both the book and the movie, they and the rest of their people left their home planet when it changed orbit and went too close to one of the binary stars that it orbited.

They came to Earth, but for unexplained reasons, the ship went down, and Tony and Tia were separated from the rest of their kin.

Due to them being so small at the time, they repressed their memories of what happened until their foster mother, Granny Malone passed on, and that was when the hoopla all began.

I'm going to get a hardcover copy off of amazon.com. It should last longer than the paperback.
