    Dumb computer question

    Hey,
I have what's probably an easy computer question --- but me being dumb, can't figure out how to do it.

I have a video file in my computer that's an ISO file ...
I grabbed it from a boot DVD somebody made me.

I want to edit it and play with it in my Windows Movie Maker program.
    It's my only video program.

WMM wont open it up because it's not in their format -- it don't accept ISO

Question: .. how do I convert this video to something WMM will understand ?

    Bare with me ..
I'm really computer dumb .. so I need a step by step -- if it's possible

    Thanks

I'll try to make this as painless as possible...

An ISO isn't a video file. It's an image of an entire DVD or CD.

So there's a couple of things you can do. First of all, go ahead and download this program: http://www.magiciso.com/download.htm. It's a program that lets you open up the ISO.

You can then pull or "extract" all of the video files OUT OF the ISO, which you should then be able to play with whatever you use to watch DVDs on your computer. Instructions for how to do that: http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-extractiso.htm
