Well, finally some great news!

My son's high school called me today and said they had located an IPOD on a student that fit the description of my son's which was stolen a couple weeks back (along with his cell phone). I had the serial number for the IPOD so they were able to positively identify it, so that kid was MADE. He's been charged currently with possession of a stolen item and we're going to see if we can get him to cough up the cell phone or rat out the one who does have it. I think with the police finally involved we might be able to get them to go to AT&T and triangulate the location of that phone (if the kid doesn't talk). If nothing else, we can always sue the parents for the phone. Things are definitely looking up! Crime does not pay!

Great news.

I believe if your Ipod is ever stolen you can have the police call Apple security and if the ipod is ever attached to iTunes they will alert the police, and have a pretty good idea where the ipod is.

If they have to pay the full price on a phone they'll care. List is obscene on that stuff but it's what they base the price on when it's lost or stolen.
