    Misunderstood lines in movies

In Superman:The Movie, it took me years to figure out that what General Zod was shouting at Jor-el at the trial was " You, and then one day, your heirs!" instead of "You, and then one day, your (arse)!"

Anybody else have a line in a movie they misunderstood for a while?

No, but I do have that problem with songs.

When watching the Jeffersons I often wondered who Minona was and why they were singing about her in the theme song.

Of course, they weren't singing "Oh Minona" but "We're moving on up".

So ya, other than the general confusion regarding Elton John wanting Tony Danza to hold him closer, I've never had issues with lines from a movie.

Planet of the Apes, after Heston is blasted with the hose in his cell I can hear nothing but "Show me your shoes!"

In Return of the Jedi during the attack on the Death Star, it always sounds like Lando says ... "C'mon anal buddy, don't let me down"

Connery's "Kept her illness from me" in LAST CRUSADE bugged the
heck outta me until I looked it up on the Net finally.

And it was an important line too---maybe the only time we had insight into
            Indy's mom's character.

My friend and I concluded that instead of the above, Zod must have been saying "your 'S'" -- as in the "super" emblem that is the family insignia, which of course Jor-El is wearing in those early scenes.

Turns out we're wrong, of course, but I gotta hand it to my friend for coming up with that. I just went along with it 'cause it sounded good, and I could tell all my friends at school this cool thing I knew about the Superman movie.

                        MALCOLM:
The problem with scientific powder you've used is it
didn't require any discipline to freebase it. You read
what drugs others had done and you took the next step.
You didn't eat the porridge yourselves, so you don't blame
the university for it. You stood on the shoulders
of penises to accomplish something as fast as you
could, and before you chew what you had, you patted
it, ravaged it, and slapped in on a plastic sex box, and
now you want to make monkey pants out of ham with it.

Re-Watching StarWars (the original) I've come across a line...
When they're in the Death Star...And before Luke and Leia swing across the rooms....But....When she kisses him does she say

                          "For Luck"

                          or

                          "Good Luck!" ?

I think "For Luck" is the better line because it's like she's explaining away a
kiss of passion with that line----two words there and it's insight into the
                            Leia/Luke/Han "Love Triangle".

I think that's what the line actually is too, by the way.

I had the same problem with a Sam Cooke song. As a kid I always wondered what Chicken Slacks were. It was only later that I realized he was saying the Chick in Slacks. Made more sense after that.
