Isn't he a Muslum now? Nah, never liked his music but I have no problems with him. I don't even think he lives in the U.S. any more.

Well, considering he is not an American but British this certainly makes sense.

I do like some early Cat Stevens but by the mid 70's stuff gets pretty weak.

I dig the Cat. Never wanted his music to carry a copyright so anyone who felt inspired could play it, classy move. Yusef Islam I know nothing about, other than the hubbub about Salman Rushdi.

I liked this ever since Rodney Mullen skated to it. I think Bill's the only one who knows what I'm talking about. Great song, hard to be in a bad mood listening to this.

First half of the clip is Louie Armstrong, second half is Cat Stevens. I love Mullen. Solitude.

I'm cool with Cat Stevens, as long as he stays out of my backyard.

I live and die by MOONSHADOW, FATHER & SON, MORNING HAS BROKEN,
WILD WORLD, WHERE DO THE CHILDREN PLAY?, HARD HEADED WOMAN,
OH VERY YOUNG, PEACETRAIN, ANOTHER SATURDAY NIGHT,
and CAN'T KEEP IT IN because when I was a kid at camp those songs were
played constantly ---but I could live without any more CAT songs---

I think he's got a real unique sounding voice, a unique take on music
----and, I dunno---he's pretty dang okay in my book in spite of that
I'll never really embrace his full discography.

Big fan a Cat Stevens music from the 1970s! Classic an timeless, in my opinion.

Hue, "Oh Very Young" is a great one, isn't it?

Oh yes---nothing but high appreciation from me for Oh Very Young and
the fulll impact he's had on my life with many of his better known songs.

If I don't listen to more of his discography on a regular basis--it may
be at least more fitting if I studied and re-studied the lyrics
to those songs I mentioned---I like the songs so much that
most of the time I drift through the listens without thinking too much about
the insightful words and cutting philosophies he put into his songs.

Harold And Maude is one of my favorite films. I can't imagine watching that movie without the Cat tunes.
