Tonight's trivia contest is dedicated to those Good 'ol Boys from Hazzard County, The Dukes! Two modern day Robin Hoods, fightin' the system... someday the mountain might get 'em, but the law never will! And no, we will NOT be discussing Coy or Vance Duke in tonight's trivia!
As for cousin Daisy, all I can say is: Thank you Catherine Bach!!!
First up, a flashback to the Hanna-Barbera cartoon series:

Ok, so the theme song wasn't as catchy was it..ok, I can't stand it, so here's the real thing:

So, now on to the trivia contest! For any newcomers, here's da rest o' da rulz:
I'll post five (5) trivia questions related to 1970s ERA various MEGO figures or characters...not closely related, as you'll see, the paths from Mego to question can diverge greatly!
First person to answer all of them correctly will get a little prize package of some random 1970s things like paperback books, comics, magazines, etc...random Mego Museum cards, and whatever assorted 1970s oddball goodies I come across.
Now don't get too excited...you're not gonna get anything worth a million bucks. Actually, the junk I plan to unload on the "winner"...excuse me, I mean, the fine collectible items I plan to offer as prizes will entertain you (I hope), and we'll all have a good time.
And just maybe, if you're not too careful, you just might learn something. Or not.
As far as the answers, please try to keep them all together in one post so we don't have to jump around collecting them all-someone can beat you to the punch by doing just that, so again, all 5 in the same post. If you get one or two wrong, please correct yourself again with all five just to keep things coherant for everyone involved, thanks!
And since I don't have any anti-Googling software in place I can't stop you from internet searching. If you know all this stuff without searching, why aren't you on Jeopardy playing for real money?
Oh, and please remember that all answers are subject to the final decision of the judge, which be me, so no arguing, it's all for fun, so let's not get crazy!
So without further ado, in the words of the Immortal Navin Johnson, "Step right up and win some crap!"
#1-John Schneider starred as cousin Bo Duke, and later on playing Pa Kent on Smallville. (He just guest-starred this week on CSI by the way playing a creepy washed up actor). WHAT CHARITY DID JOHN SCHNEIDER CO-FOUND WITH MARIE OSMOND?
#2- Luke Duke was played by Tom Wopat. Did you know he almost once had an affair with Tim Allen's wife? Ok, not in real life but on the show Home Improvement with Tim's TV wife Jill. WHAT WAS WOPAT'S CHARACTER'S NAME ON THE HOME IMPROVEMENT EPISODE MENTIONED?
#3- Boss J.D. Hogg was the eternal nemesis of the Duke boys. The J.D. stood for Jefferson Davis. WHAT WAS THE NAME OF BOSS HOGG'S BELOVED WIFE?
#4- Already mentioned Daisy Duke, but let's not forget ol' Uncle Jesse. Daisy drove a cool white Jeep C-J with the Golden Eagle design on the hood. And Jesse drove that beater pickup truck. WHAT WERE DAISY & UNCLE JESSE'S CB RADIO HANDLES?
#5- "The Balladeer" as he was known was country music legend Waylon Jennings. Ol' Waylon was a member of Buddy Holly's Crickets and was saved from death that fateful night because he gave up his seat on the plane to the Big Bopper. Waylon sang that they "kept 'a showin' my hands but not my face on TV", but in a show near the series end, he did appear on-screen with the Dukes. WHAT CHARACTER DID WAYLON JENNINGS PLAY IN HIS GUEST-APPEARANCE?
Ok, Duke fans, YEEEE-HAWWWW!!!
