We have other donut chains up here like Country Style, and Robbins, but Tim rules the roost. The guy was an ok hockey player, but when it came to donuts he was KING!!

Krispy Kreme tried to open up a Canadian branch in Calgary (I believe they had a store out East as well?), but after the initial mad rush to try the "new guy" they died a deserved death and went under within 6 months to a year.

I can eat a glazed donut from almost any bakery, although Krispy Kreme was the best around here. My other favorite is like boston creme pie - it's filled with custard and topped with chocolate - or a chocolate cake donut.

I don't know what Long Johns or Bear Claws even are. But I like plain, honey glazed, boston cream ,apple fritter, blueberry fritter, honey kruller, suger-cinnoman twist, double chocolate, Canadian maple, is that a dozen yet?

For me it's a cream, not custard, filled long john. A close second would be an apple fritter. Least favorite would be anything jelly or lemon filled. As far as "brands" go, I'd have to say Dunkin. I really don't care for the Krispy Kremes.

The regular cake ones aren't that great.Love maple long johns and glazed only if they are fresh and squishy.Apple fritters if they got real apples in them.I never get the custard ,but my wife does and I usually steal a bite.I agree with you on the bear claws,way to doughy for me.

I hate bear claws and old fashioned donuts.

My faves are chocolate with cream filling, powder with jelly, the plain fluffy ones, and the ones with apple filling.

I like Crispy Kreme,Dunkin is alright but they've stopped making a lot of my old faves.Like the Vanilla Cream and strawberry cream
