When You Are Hot , You Are Hot!!!!

It seems my hunting goes like this, I can not find anything for several months, than next thing I know, there is more than I can handle.

Everyone saw my latest pick up of the Heisman Ceremony program.

Well yesterday, I go to an estate sale and fing three more of my Holy Grails!!!

Three watches from three LSU bowl games from the 60's. These watches were given to players and coaches. They were not giving them away, so I am having to sell two of them in hope that I make enough to pay for the third. If I didn't just spend a ton of money of the Heisman program, i would have kept all three:

Actually the '68 watch is a better condition watch (and game for LSU), but yes I am keeping the '65.

In about two months I will be kicking myself for selling the other two, but I cannot spend the money I have invested in these right now.

I figure the '68 is worth alittle more than the '65, so thats why I am keeping the '65, hopefully sell the two for enough to get mine for free.

Why is it that whenever I find any of my grails I'm broke? Congrats Chris!

As for how much I paid for them, they set me back $700 ($250, $250, & $200)
If I hadn't picked up the Heisman program last week for $400, I would be keeping them all. I had some good finds yesterday that may make me a few dollars. If they do, I might pull down the other Sugar Bowl off eBay.

The two Sugar Bowls work, but the Bluebonnet is missing the winder button, so I do not know if it works, but they are Omega watches, so I believe it will work if wound.

There is a judge here in BR that is a major LSU collector and he is after a 1938 Sugar Bowl program and I have one. I may call him next week and see if he wants to buy it. If he does, I will keep all three. I can always find another program, they come up 3 or 4 times a year on eBay.

Omega is a high end watch.

Did you check on your LSU site to take offers before putting them on EBAY?

There are only 47 members so far on my site, and only 2 or 3 MAJOR collectors like me. I figured eBay would be the best result.

I posted the picture of them on there, but for the most part, they are a bunch of idiots. A couple people PM'ed me asking how much, but didn't want to make an offer.
