I was at a local thrift store today and found a copy of "Apollo 13". It is a retitled book originally called "Lost Moon", so it is not really considered a first edition.
The inside had a sticker in it with what looked like "Jan Larry" autograph on it. I was thinking this is who owned the book or was a present. I didn't get it and when I got home, I looked it up. Both of his books that are signed have this sticker in it with his signature (the ones I found on eBay).
I going back tomorrow to get it.
Here is a picture of one on eBay with the sticker. The sticker in the book I found didn't have the book's name, but is the exact same size and has the black line border all the way around.
I was just wondering why they did this.
