    King of the Hill Cancelled

    I'm gonna miss that show.

Fox has canceled long-running animated comedy "King of the Hill."

The show's most recent episode order of 13 half-hours will be its last, a Fox spokesman said Thursday. Given the lead time for animation, it's likely the series will air its final episode sometime during the 2009-10 season.

News of "King's" death isn't a surprise. The show has cheated death several times over the past few years, with Fox coming close to pulling the plug more than once.

Gary Newman, co-chairman of 20th Century Fox TV, told TVWeek earlier this month that renewals for "American Dad" and "The Simpsons" were imminent, but he wasn't so sure about "Hill."

"It's probably time [for Fox to make a decision]," Mr. Newman said. "I don't know if the network will be ordering more seasons or not. That show has had its last rites read to it several times, and keeps rearing its head again."

I like King of the Hill because it's a nice relaxing easy going show.

It's basically a normal sitcom that can take place outdoors often because it's animated.

For me, Family Guy is ok but it's outrageousness wears very thin after a while.

Simpsons is a zombie of it's former self that just wont die

American Dad (to me) is totally unwatchable

This comes as no surprise, the show was on the bubble last year. There was talk that ABC may revive it.

I stopped watching a few years ago.

I like Family Guy, but I also hate it.

Some Family Guy stuff I hate .......

When they do them long extended scenes that go on forever .. Like listening to the Maude theme song.
To me, that's just not funny and a waste of time.

              The barber shop quartet

The 1920's era (play him off) guys -- and any antique era schtick

              The chicken man fight

              I could go on.

Family Guy is watchable for me .. but it can get really annoying

Man I love King of the Hill. They need to get rid of American Dad and keep King of the Hill on the air.

Didn't they already announce this a few months ago?

It's lasted longer than I thought it would, but I always though it was a decent show. It's too bad that it just started being shown in HD, and now they cancel it.

Yes, before the current season started airing.

My biggest problem with King being cancelled is we are now going to be left with Family Guy, American Dad and The Simpsons ...

All three of the above are basically the same show with a few tweeks.

                            King was different.
