    Washroom.
    Bathroom.
    Restroom.
    Sh**ter.
    Lavatory.
    Water Room.

I don't think many people use the last 2.

      1. in all the house i've lived in they're seperate rooms so Bathroom and Toilet ( or loo )

      2. Toilet ( or loo )

Just a query but why in America is it called a restroom? Is it somewhere to go when you're feeling a bit tired?

Sure, I feel a bit rested after I do my business on the throne and do a bit of reading while I'm at it. Why do you guys call it a "loo"? What does that even mean?

          Home - bathroom.

Public - restroom (since, you know, there's no bath in there. And it's quite restful, don't you think? )

"reading room" or "library" I've never understood. Why would you want to sit in there any longer than you have to, thumbing through a book or magazine while, ahem, stewing in your own stink? Good lord, do what you need to do and get out.

I don't do that in public restrooms but I do it at home sometimes. What can I say, it's perversely relaxing (especially when you live in a house with an active three year old boy, you take any quiet moments to yourself that you can get)

I agree it does give you some peace and quiet.

                1. Bathroom

                2. Men's Room
