What happened to Monk????

Monk was one of the very few current shows on television I made a point of to watch weekly. It's a great show for those who miss the seventies and eighties style television. Unfortunately it hasnt aired in my area for some time now. Has it been cancelled? ...I know its on a small network in the US, so I guess its possible its on a longer hiatus than usual, but its been at least 6 months now since its aired up here in Alberta!

Without Monk, the only thing I really watch on tv anymore is Trek reruns, John Wayne movies, and Hockey. Makes me seriously wonder if its worth paying for all those channels anymore! All I really need is a tv and dvd player.

The season finally was last Fri. I believe ,it'll be back in June to end the series all together.Then you'll be stuck with just reruns.

Yeah it's a USA Network show. NBC use to air some of the episodes,don't know if they still do.

Monk's season finale was Friday. USA does this weird split season thing. They run like the first 8 episodes of the season in the Summer, then stop until January and run the 2nd set of 8, then they are done until the summer.

Monk's one of my favorites. I actually like a lot of the USA shows. They are a little more character driven (hence the characters welcome thing they do). Pysch, Burn Notice, In Plain Sight, are all good programs along the lines of Monk.

Looked up the USA site and see Canada missed a season so far. Guess I'll have to wait for the DVD's!

Didnt recognize any of the other shows they have, but if they are of the same quality as Monk, I'll have to seek them out!

Too bad...its a great show.
I read a rumor somewhere a few years ago that mentioned that Monk himself might have been Trudys killer, causing his issues. Of course, they have long since made clear Monk always was a wee bit ...peculiar, so its not fair to say he was normal until Trudys death. more likely, Trudy helped him approximate normal.

According to the USA website they are just starting the 8th and final season. I've only seen 6 of them myself.
