Overlooked?

I love the Doors!
I love Pink Floyd!
I love the Beatles!
Jefferson Airplane, Yardbirds, Zeppelin, Guess Who!
Even when Nirvana came out in 91, I was driving around Florida with it jamming from my car because it sounded not new, familiar! I loved that new (old) sound.

I just love the sound of psychedelic style rock.

But why the heck have the Moody Blues not been inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of fame?!! I've always loved their songs. Doesn't anyone else like them? If you've never heard them, take a listen to these links. Definitly hall of fame material. What goes?

This band has always reminded me of Floyd and when Nirvana came out they reminded me of The Moody Blues.

I dig the Moody Blues also....a LOT of the Hall of Fame exclusions baffle me...while some of the entries astound me.

The Beatles got some great songs,i like the Monkee's also but i am mainly into soul music (gotta have soul man)

The Dave Clark Five incident finally proved it to the general public.

The Hall of fame is a sham, Madonna being there says it all.

I love some MB songs but puke at the sound of others. Where as I like almost 100% of Floyds work.

Oh I hate that song. It's sooooooo boring. I used to like it and even have it on several CDs, I just can't stand it anymore. Sorry, just my opinion.

Several years ago, the director of the Rock Hall said he would never allow The Moody Blues in. I'm not sure if it's the current director or the one who passed away. I remember because my brother went crazy about it and signed a petition. I agree they should be in, but this is probably at least part of the reason.

Being in the Hall of Fame means nothing because a small group of self elected people's opinions as to who get's in and who doesn't taint the whole thing.

I could start my own Hall of Fame and say who I think should be in and who shouldn't.

They only pick people THEY like.
