    TimeLife Music--70s Love Songs

Today I was watching tv and landed on a show where Tony Orlando was the host. It was great to see all those old clips of all the songs that I knew from childhood!! wow. What a trip to memory lane. What was really strange though was I had to keep reminding myself that it was Tony Orlando...just Tony Orlando...and not Mike (Type1Kirk) because of his avatar...

I am making a list of all the songs they played on AM radio
or in stores when I was a kid in the late seventies.
Geez, but there are a lot of references to Bogart movies in
soft rock songs. If you've got one, let me know.

I love watching these infomercials. I can't even tell you how ridiculously excited I got when I first saw the one for the Midnight Special DVDs, haha. And I still don't own them, unfortunately.

I'm a Seventies music fanatic of sorts, and I have a rather soft spot for alot of the soft-rock stuff from that era (and the early 1980s as well).

Here's just some of my favorite AM radio tunes from the era MysteryWho mentioned (early 1970s thru early 1980s)-

                  Sentimental Lady- Bob Welch
Love Will Find A Way- Pablo Cruise
                  I'm Not In Love- 10CC
                  Sister Golden Hair- America
Stumblin' In- Suzi Quatro & Chris Norman
                  Longer- Dan Folgerberg
                  Reminiscing- Little River Band
                  Baby Come Back- Player
                  Only The Loney- Motels
                  Suddenly Last Summer- Motels
Whenever I call you friend- Kenny Loggins & Stevie Nicks

Some really cheesy songs there. But they're fun to listen to. Most of these songs are from my later teen years so they don't have the same magic for me as the pop music from the 1960's. Funny how often it's the music of our childhood that holds precedence. The 1960's are my childhood years so that music seems to hold the most MAGIC for me...
