Hmmm,
I think that photo was doctored.
The hawk's attack angle is too low and behind the rabit. -
The Hawk also has a piece of rope coming off of him. A school mascot possibly? The Air Force Academy has one. Still a cool picture.Comment

The rope "jesses" probably means it's someones trained hunting bird, but the angle of approach does appear odd. I think it's a falcon, but I'm no pro. I think Falconery lools like fun, I always wanted to get into that.

Not one of you guys know what your talking about! The Hawk is a highly intelligent and civilized creature who would have simply ordered rabbit from the nearest upper scale restaurant!
