    Ebay Query

I sold an item on Ebay a couple of weeks back and now see that the buyer has relisted it. I have no problem with this and wish him luck on making a profit. I was a bit peeved to see he had used my pics in his listing though.

Does anyone know if he has the right to do that as the winner of the auction?

No, I don't think he does. Since you took those pics, they should be considered your property. You could email him and ask him not to use them, or I think you could report the auction to eBay for stolen pictures.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and your pics are always great Bill, but if he didn't ask you first then it's just plain old theft.

Thanks guys; that's what I thought. I'll mail him and ask him to take them down.

I did the same thing a few years ago (using my former seller's pictures) but I gave him the courtesy of asking for permission first -- which he gave.

I think if anything the seller should have asked for your permission. since he didnt I would pursue it with the seller first , if an agreement cant be made then I would bring it to e-bay's attention.I'd like to think that it shouldnt have to come to that.

I am a pick your battles kind of person. Chances are he wasn't intentionally stealing pictures from you...just too lazy to take his own picture.

If it really bothers you, I'd say let him know and see if he will cooperate first because he did break Ebay policy. For me, it just isn't worth my time to send endless emails to have a picture removed that is mine.
