Plus there are areas and regions in the US that celebrate different things - meaning people in the North don't celebrate Confederate Memorial Day and Jefferson Davis' birthday like we do here in the South.

Here in Jersey we have Pulaski day.

It's not a true holiday or anything, but we do have parades and stuff.

Doesn't matter to me.. I'm a federal employee, so I get another day off. Thanks to all the taxpayers (and me..)!

An updated version of this piece can insert Obama in between Jackson and Jefferson (perhaps shaking Washington's hand!), and move President Mutton-Chop (whoever he is!) somewhere else.

We don't recognize these in Texas, even though Texas was part of the Confederacy. In fact, I've never even heard of these days. Hmmm.

The only time i've ever seen that painting/print (the one at the beginning of this thread) for sale was at the HALL OF PRESIDENTS wax Museum in Gettysburg PA a few years ago.
It's like 3 foot across and I think it cost like 12 bucks.
I should have bought it at the time.

It is by Carl Braude and you can find it all over the internet.

About $20 at posters.com. I'm sure you can find it for less if you look around.

If you are talking about the white haired president in the back between the two...I think that is supposed to be Martin Van Buren. It looks like they tried to place them in some type of order but I can't figure it out. Ike is on the left but JFK is on the right and behind a few people. Some presidents are making big gestures while others just seem to be standing there...interesting picture

It's Family Day here, a weird Provincial holiday not everyone observes and I get mail.
