I'm in Ohio, but I just walked downstairs and looked out the window and the sky is yellowish. I thought to myself "tornado weather". Somone told me that a long time ago. But we hardly ever suffer any damage from there around here (knock on wood). I wonder if anyone else ever heard that. Could be that it means elsewhere as well. But it is the first thing that came to mind. -
I'm keeping an eye on the weather today. We are next in ine to get what Oklahoma got last night.

Somewhere around 9:45 last night the wind went from nothing to 45-50 mph blasts at my house. I pulled up our noao radio and checked the local radar stuff. No tornadoes, but it sure did sound like something was about to happen for a few minutes.
When I managed to get the radar up on the internet, I saw that long line of storms. It was really amazing stuff. About 25 miles wide where we are and moving at 35-40 mph. We really only had about 40 minutes of wind, rain, and hail. It was all out no-holds-barred thunderstorm action. I have never before wondered about the integrity of my roof, but the thought did cross my mind last night. Fortunately, nothing blew off, or through the house, tho all my lawn chairs and our rain barrel were all in the NE corner this morning. Helped to clean up the kids outside toys tho
Glad I don't live in OK. Hope those that do are doing alright.
