No offense taken my friend. As a vet I'm pretty touchy about our men and women in uniform. I gotta relax also. Lets just bury the hatchet here.

Really? I find that hard to believe. What about somebody like Owen Hart who literally died doing a stupid -dangerous stunt (which a wrestler shouldn't have been doing IMHO) and literally died jumping from the rafters of a building? no sympathy? A man in his early thirties leaving behind a wife and kids. What about ACTUAL STUNTMEN????? didn't a guy die on the set of Dark Knight? didn't he die doing something ultimately for our entertainment. How is he any different than the young man riding a bike? I guess you don't know any young guys/girls who ski, snowboard, mountain bike, skateboard, have fun and live it up. Or maybe you never did anything stupid and dangerous as a young man? we all did, so I really doubt that.

        No problem---

for the record---now that we got THAT out of the way---

I ALWAYS concede to the military (and police) in discussions about respect,
national/regional pride and all that---real life scenarios have been a
bit skewed sometimes (due to my OWN pride---jeez)---
but, yes, in theory I believe strongly that the one's assigned to protect us
        should get my utmost respect.

That's the basic idea of yours that I was "running with" after you posted
          and Mike responded.

(If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be in this mess! heh-heh)

Otherwise, I'd consider stopping while you're ahead----
'cause obviously the military is a borderline controversial topic
to go on about here----i.e. "dangerous"
