    I never liked Jericho

I still picture him as the cheapo WCW Lionheart pretty-boy that NWO would always beat up for a laugh

When a guy like Jericho stumbles into a Mensa meeting bad things are bound to happen.

I don't know. People need to realize these guys just "play" bad guys and not to harrass them in real life. As far as hitting a girl, it looked to me like she grabbed him as he was getting in his car, he turned and reacted before seeing who it was. No matter if it was a female or not, if you were in a mob and someone grabbed you, are you not allowed to defend yourself? I don't particularly care for Jericho myself, but I don't see him getting in trouble for this.

Naw,.. seriously,.. Before the Torches Come out,.. it's Unfortunate, that some people do seriously think some of these guys are the Bad Guys in life.

Blame WWC/WWF/WWE etc. promotion and management that have always played up that the characters on their shows are real. Yes a lot of people realize the stuff is fake but just as many can't seem to grasp that. Again the fault lies with the management that play up that the matches are real and the performers are the characters they play.

Hard to tell from the video if he actually hit the female fan (who was only asking for a picture and not one of the hecklers) but it looked like he certainly tried to.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

The WWE's take on the situation

"After leaving a live event in Victoria, British Columbia on Saturday evening, Chris Jericho's car was attacked by a mob when he was stopped at a stop sign. Unable to proceed, Jericho exited his car to ask the crowd to clear a path so he could continue through the intersection. A man and a woman physically and verbally assaulted Jericho.

Arena and WWE security arrived to establish enough order to allow Jericho to re-enter his vehicle and depart. The local police arrived minutes later.

Jericho was unharmed in the incident. The man and woman who assaulted Jericho were arrested."

Don't get me wrong, I don't blame the guy at all. The only thing possibly scarier than his "fans" would have to be the trogs who take that stuff seriously and get worked up over his character. It looked to me like the girl lunged for him and he was in defense mode.

There's no excuse for this. As a celebrity you know you'll get swarmed by fans whenever you get out in public and some fans unfortunately don't know how to behave, but that's no excuse for hitting them. The guy's a wrestler, he can't take a little push from a woman? Come on!!! What if all the Hollywood movie stars or singers started throwing punches left and right?

The guy has a right to defend himself - he was being mobbed. It's not like he jumped out and went on the attack. Female or not, who knows what she could potentially have done.

I can hardly believe I'm even debating this.

I wonder if its all part of a setup WWE is planning.

Actually, he did jump out of the car and went on the attack. Being mobbed? That's why his bodyguards are there, to prevent this, but they sure did a lousy job.
But I think Mitch is on to something, it probably is some sort of stunt
