Ah, "worlds oldest super heroes" rings a bell, thanks. I would have been completely oblivious about the Laugh-in reference at the time though.

I just remembered another cartoon I watched as a kid: "The Odd-ball Couple". Another one season wonder, that was a version of "The Odd Couple" except with a dog and cat. I even remember their names, Fleabag and Spiffy, and some of the themesong. I don't know why.

Also, not really a cartoon, but rather a cartoon ad, I've often had to convince friends and co-workers about the existance of "Fruit Brute". Sure everyone knows Count Chocula, Frankenberry and Boo Berry, but many don't remember their short lived werewolf buddy, and some thought I was making him up. This was some years ago when I couldn't just go on the internet and get some proof. I remember watching Pulp Fiction in the theatre with a friend and when the scene came up with Eric Stoltz's character eating cereal with a big box of Fruit Brute beside him, I elbowed my friend and loudly whispered "See, I told you!!"

          Here Cjeffreys:

          YouTube - the oddball couple-intro

YouTube - baggy pants and the nitwits-title

And here are some more that I remember, but few others do:

          YouTube - rickety rocket-intro

YouTube - Intro to the Jackson 5's cartoon show

          YouTube - The Osmonds (1972) - OPENING

(I have the J5 and Osmonds on tape)

Some others I couldn't find on YouTube are:

          My Favorite Martian (cartoon)

          Kid Power (Wee Pals)
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Anyone remember Wheres Huddles? It was a short-lived series about two football players. I recall everything was football-themed and that the show somewhat Flintstone-like. You can see the intro with Spanish subtitles (?) here . . .

The Super 7. The four cartoons that ran alongside Tarzan: Lord of the Jungle, the New Adventures of Batman, and the live action Jason of Star Command.

With the exception of the Freedom Force, which is now on DVD with the Space Sentinels, I loved watching WebWoman, Super Stretch and Micro Woman, and Manta and Moray. Especially the latter one. I heard somewhere that the last three I mentioned were the subject of a legal mess that Filmation had with both DC and Marvel, henceforth, these shows will never see the light of day again, except for the ones I found on youtube.

I also enjoyed Mighty Man and Yukk, and as horrible as it was, I recall a cartoon called Rickety Rocket, both were part of the Plastic Man Comedy Adventure Show.

And for those who saw Captain Kangaroo in the 70's, does anyone remember the cartoons of the Toothbrush Family, Slim Goodbody (Ugh!) Picture Pages with Bill Cosby, and the action looking, but mostly educational cartoon, The Undersea Adventures of Captain Nemo?

                Cheers.

I think, Tom Terrific is out on DVD, released by the same company the released DVDs sets of Clutch Cargo and Diver Dan.

Every morning I watched Kimba the White Lion as I ate my breakfast:

And one that wasn't a cartoon, but I watched it every afternoon when I got home from school: Johnny Sakko and his flying robot

Okay...you all will get this, but in "real life" no one remembers "Battle of the Planets"! Not even when I use the name "G-Force". I loved that show and no one seems to remember it existed. Oh yeah, they remember "The Snorks" and "Trollkins" (which doesn't even rate a Wikipedia entry), but I must be delusional to believe "Battle of the Planets" was an ACTUAL cartoon!

Nope you're not delusional. I used to occasionally watch BOTP after school.

Oh, I watched Battle of the Planets all the time as a kid (perhaps the first anime I ever saw, without knowing what "anime" was at the time of course). On the other hand, I don't remember Snorks or Trollkins at all. We only remember the cool stuff.

Hi, my name is Scott and I'm a first time poster.

An obscure toon that I always liked was The Mighty Hercules. It was a Trans Lux cartoon, the same people who did Speed Racer. I would sing the theme song all the time.

YouTube - The Mighty Hercules - Opening

Also liked Wait Til You're Father Gets Home YouTube - [TV Theme] Wait Til Your Father Gets Home (open titles)('72) and The Submariner (Namor) YouTube - The Sub-Mariner TV cartoon intro (1966). Frankenstein Jr., Shazan the Genie. The list goes on and on.

                                Man I love youtube.
