Some of the ones I used to like that I never see anymore are,
          Prince Planet

Sinbad the Sailor (may have been Sinbad Jr?)
the theme song went something like this:
sinbad the sailor, sailing the ocean blue
with salty the parrot by his side, they are a fearless crew...

I also liked Baby Huey, Herman & Katnip and any of those Harvey cartoons

Marine boy sounds familiar. I thought it was called Ocean Boy, but by either name it was cool.

Anybody remember Hairy Canary? I loved this when I was around 2...maybe 3, but havent seen it since those hallowed days.

Marine Boy was brought to America a little before Speed Racer, but was dubbed by the same guy (Peter Fernandez). He was the voice of both. Marine boy did have gum that, when chewed, would allow him to breath underwater.

I loved the Mighty Heroes. I do see them get mentioned every now and then, but I do not see them get the nostalgia love that others do-

Hmmm...I do remember this Marine Boy, but I was thinking of another cartoon. This one wasnt anime styled, and I'm sure it was called Ocean Boy....or possibly Ocean Girl? The underwater hero wore a headpiece very similar to something flash Gordon might wear.
Searched You Tube, but found nothing?

Anyway, one of my favorite cartoons growing up but generally falls off the radar of most people.
I loved Marine Boy...you can still get copies of it around.

I can't find my favourite: Tatsunoko's very first character: Space Ace (Uchu Esu).

He also would chew a type of gum (which he took from his robotic? dog's nose) and was then able to create rings from his finger, which he could use as weapons or fly on top of.

Mighty Man and Yukk, the world's ugliest dog (I think this one ran with the Plastic Man cartoon)

Baggy Pants and the Nitwits (I can't remember the Nitwits, but Baggy Pants was a cat dressed up as Chaplin's little tramp character)

The Three Robonic Stooges (the Three Stooges as bionic superheroes)

Davy Crockett was made by Hanna-Barbera. My local branch of our county library have a VHS copy you can check out along with a VHS copy of the Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

I don't know how this ranks up there with obscure or forgotten, but Star Blazers ruled my world in the mid to later 70's. I was addicted to that show and watched it every morning before school. It still is probably my favorite cartoon of all time. I never got to see the third series. I'll have to track those DVD's down at a reasonable price.

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

For those old enough to have watched Captain Kangaroo, he showed two cartoons that I remember. Tom Terrific and Lariat Sam. Wish they'd put those out on DVD - it would great to see them again.
