Yeah, I think so. I need some good pics of that three bladed sword. And yes, it IS Mego-related....

AHA! Those are EXACTLY what I need! Thanks!

Now I just gotta find a shot of the top of the swords, and if possible a closeup of the forward edge of the hilt setup.

20 years ago my friend (now a horror novelist and screenwriter) and I did a comic-book sequel to S & S, based on the promise that appears at the end of the movie. I drew this sword so many times and from so many angles, I know it like I know my own nose! (The comic, called "Tales from the Ancient Empire: Warriors of the Sword", was praised by Harry Knowles and his dad, both fans of the 1982 movie. We can't release the thing for obvious copyright reasons, but it's a fun read!)

Anyway, the blades of Talon's sword can either look broad or skinny, depending on which way the sword is facing (you can get a sense of the skinny-blade look in the second pic, above, with young Talon). The hilt-guards look the same in either pose because there are four of them, crossing each other in an 'x' shape if seen from above. The hilt itself is leather with the tang (the metal terminus of the central blade) visible in the center like a steel stripe. The pommel is a steel disc, thick like a hockey puck laid out flat.

Hope that helps! Good luck with your custom, which by the way I MUST see when it's done!
