(I thought Springsteen was off the wall-expected a faster set-No Born in the USA?-the halftime show should be more rockin'...I almost expected him to do another song just to see if he could get away with it- never heard the act announce the time limit they had before...and the little jokes with the band, ref & all didn't impress me. I was disappointed because I like Bruce otherwise).
And yes, the commercials sucked. I guess with the recession & all there was no ad budget...most of them were for summer movies...only one I liked was the crystal ball for Doritos).
But hey...STEELERS WON!!!
BTW- I already recieved three spam e-mails offering to sell me Steeler Super Bowl hats!
I liked Sprnigsteen too. While the commercials weren't the best, I kind of liked the Doritos commercial and did laugh at the one where the koala bear got punched. I also liked the movie trailers.
Great Super Bowl. Here in Western Maryland, we have a huge Steelers fan base. I was at the grocery store yesterday with my daughter and for fun we counted all the people wearing Steelers gear...about 20 at just one store!
My boss is the only Cardinals fan I know. He said he was just happy to see them make it to the Super Bowl and didn't set his expectations high.
I thought the commercials were pretty good. Personally, I liked the Budweiser commercial with the horse running after the circus pony and the SNL Pepsi commercial.
We all laughed (kids included) at the Koala bear getting punched....but have no clue on the product.

That was a lot of fun to watch. I was pulling for the Cardinals as underdogs, and Warner and Fitzgerald as a great duo, but I'm happy for the Steelers who were the better team all year long and pulled off a great final drive.
I thought Bruce's show was terrific. Opening with 10th Avenue was super and Born to Run was what I wanted to hear. Didn't miss Born in the USA. But his more recent stuff, while perfectly serviceable, just doesn't grab me, so he end of the show was a bit of a let down, but not that much. He really sells whatever he sings. Made me wish I could afford to see his latest tour. The sliding crash into the camera was classic.
Commercials were nothing special. The snow globe through the vending machine made me laugh. Monkeys are always reliable. Danica Patrick has ca$hed in her credibility as a top level race car driver to be a web bimbo? Too bad.
Good game but was pulling for the Cards. They certainly had their chances but penalties cost them. But glad to see them make it though.
My favorite commercials were the Budweiser Clydesdales. Loved the one where the horse played "fetch" with a tree branch. Some commercials were just stupid.
