Sometimes its better in black and white

Our cable company gave us a new station to watch, only fittting since they keep raising the prices. In a way it reminds me of TVLAND when it first started. They're showing B&W episodes of Beverly Hillbillies,The Lone Ranger,Andy Griffith, and more.Alot of the shows they are running lasted long enough to end their tv run in color. But where the best of their episodes in B&W? Which way do you like your old tv?

Stuff like The Munsters is better in black & white. Didn't care for the movie. Seeing everyone green just seemed so wrong.

B&W- I agree on Superman, Lost in Space & F-Troop, & I'd add Dark Shadows, Lassie

Color- Ditto Gilligan + The Lone Ranger

One I could say was great either way was Bewitched- Elizabeth Montgomery was just hot all the way around!

You proabably liked Lost in Space in B & W better because those were the serious episodes...but they look good in color too...the thing is that it went very campy when the color ones started.

              Yep

Every one of my pics had nothing to do with B&W or C

It was the episodes themselves that I liked better.

What, you don't like 'Munster, Go Home'?

I have it on DVD. Love it.
You know, they actually did have green makeup in the series, you just couldn't see it cuz it wasn't shot in color.
To the best I remember (I don't own them but have seen them) the ViewMaster reels were shots from the series and they are in color but they have no makeup on their hands/arms. Going on old memory but that's what I recall.

It was more of a shock then anything else I guess. You get use to seeing something one way for awhile then see something like that.
