I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a comeback. He seems to be able to go away for a few years and come back.
I think I read that he was planning on touring with the Jackson 5 this year or next. It would not shock me if it didn't sell out everywhere.
I think his music is brilliant and am still amazed when I hear songs from Thriller...they don't sound old or dated.
With that said, he is really messed up. I do feel sorry for him and think he had a completely whacked out childhood but the crimes he committed are inexcusable and should not go unpunished. Hopefully, he will get some much needed help.

Well, according to the link it doesn't appear that Jackson himself is going to be involved in the musical. He's just sold the rights for his music to be produced on the stage. He's hurting financially after all the lawsuit payouts, so this move makes sense.
I think a stage show with MJ music from Thriller and OTW would be awesome. Those are his two best albums by far IMO.
Thriller's only, like, the biggest album of all-time.
I think the play has a chance!
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
I'd go see it. Say what you want about Michael, but I've always been a fan and I always will be. And he probably wouldn't be in it, but it since he has his anniversary remix of the Thriller album coming out, (I thought this was supposed to be released last year), maybe they'll release the play in conjunction w/ the album.

'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
