I'll miss VHS until they make DVD's easily rerecordable --- which doesn't sound like it's going to happen any time soon -- or perhaps never.

VHS was a great format ..... nobody had to be a computer wiz to watch and record their fav shows

If you still have things to record and rerecord and still have a vcr, stock up. The new ones will last another 20 years.

That's true. I still have two VCR's that i still use....and I've been stocking up on tapes. I just figured out how to transfer my Dvr recordings on to tape. So my Dad who just won't upgrade can at least enjoy stuff.

I never liked how electronics get forced on you and they make it so you are forced to buy things.......I just want to watch a movie not live it.

            Well, some of them will.
Some of the newer VCRs are just junk though.
After a year or two they just don't work anymore.

Not like the ones we bought years ago that were actually made to last.

Yeah, I'll be stocking up. And when the stores don't sell them anymore, where there's Ebay, there's hope.

I still have several boxes full of tapes that I have to transfer to DVD whenever I get the time to do so. There are still tons of obscure titles on VHS that have never been released on DVD.

I remember Buying the Die Hard Trilogy for like 150.00 bucks at Suncoast (right before, or during the Launch of DVD ) ... Because I just had to have them. ... I like my DVD's,.. & the Quality of the Movies... as well as picking something up for under 20 bucks a Pop. With VHS,.. not everything ever came out on them right outta the Theaters,.. & you had to order them & pay like 85 bucks for a Movie. The Only 3 things I watch on VHS any More is the Spider-man 90's series ( the Boy & I have a Bunch of them) , G.I.JOE The Movie, & Porn.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

I must have over 1000 vhs tapes, proper ones not copies on blanks, so i should say that as far as i am concerned vhs will never die because i will be watching these forever.
