Just wondering if there are any other Floyd Freaks here .......
I'm not talking about people who mostly love Another Brick In The Wall and Money .....

If you're a Floyd freak, you know it and I don't have to explain the definition

Count me in

I don't know if I fit your category Mike---but I'm close

I own everything SYD BARRETT ever released, Floyd or otherwise

Also...
PIPER AT THE GATES OF DAWN is one of my favorite albums of all-time
as is MEDDLE and THE WALL

however, even more than those ^^^
the albums ANIMALS, DARK SIDE OF THE MOON and
especially WISH YOU WERE HERE are incredible top favorites of mine.

I never really immersed myself in the discography or Floyd's history
----so you can't really call me a "hardcore fan"---

but growing up, at the summer camp I was at, every
album listed above was played constantly (except for PIPER)
so, they are truly ingrained in my consciousness----and I like them there!

As far as PIPER goes---I had a friend in college who got me on a BARRET-kick
---solo albums----and then a few years later my band used to play
with another band who would cover LUCIFER SAM (from PIPER)

and I was like "Wow, yeah, I never checked out early Floyd"----
so, of course, then I did and I loved the singles and SAUCERFUL

I think FLOYD bore some incrredible stuff...and is so much an important
part of music history and my personal music lexicon---

And dang! When they reunited for LIVE 8, I thought they sounded SPOT on.

anybody who enjoy's the albums from More to Meddle.

For many semi-fans, these albums are usually passed over.

Anything after Sid Barret left I like. I am a David Gilmour fan. I love his latest snoozer CD. Not bad if you are in a mellow mood!

The only Gilmour album I can sit threw was his first Solo album.

I own About Face, but it's hard for me to listen to it.

Meddle is a nice bridge there though.

It has been a while since I went back to that album, PIPER, I needs must.
I don't own RELICS......!!!!

I like Relics and I love Meddle. I prefer the Floyd's lush sonic quality and extended instrumentation, which first appeared so perfectly in Dark Side, but some of their earlier stuff (like Echoes and Fearless) have this as well in a kind of rougher, embryonic form. As far as my credentials for being a "true" Floyd fan, I must put forward my intense love for Animals -- which doesn't get radio play and is not owned or even known by your average classic rock fan -- as evidence.

You just have to appreciate them
