You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie Banks -
I'm pro-repro myself. I want to start building figures for my son, and I don't want to use my original bodies. Plus I just like the Mego style and will buy any that come along until they are so mainstream that there are too many around...which shouldn't be for a really long time. Plus I play with my figures alot, and will do so more often when my son is old enough to play, so the more characters the merrier.

LOL, funny drunk pic!
I'm VERY happy with my EMCE Star Trek and POTA. All of 'em looks much better!
I collect 'em all with original Megos in my collection.
I can't wait to get the last EMCE Star Trek 4 set of Sulu and The Gorn packages coming out soon!Comment

I just checked in on this thread since I posted it. Strir things up I guess is side affect of posting your opinion. What I wasn't clear about was repro accesories, They are great.
I'm talking about the figures themselves. Do a Mego star trek search on ebay and over 50% of the items are repro. And I'm also talking about repros that were made by mego. I think repros of The characters that they didn't make are great. The other ones just devalue the originals.Comment

It is statements like that which BOGGLE my mind.
Sorry, if your toys are losing their monetary value in order to allow people
to obtain toys that they want to have fun playing with or displaying.
Come ON, man."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

If I had a wish I really wouldn't waste it on smashing toys. I'd gets me some them magic powers like shape shifting or levitation or dates me some them large breasted womens I've heard about. That would be kewl. You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment

Right...your unsolicited opinion. Which you felt we ALL should know about?
I guess I could make a post stating that I don't believe in God? I imagine that would get quite a few responses as well...but why would I want to? Just to anger and engage My fellow Museum Members in arguement? What for? Because I was bored that Day? I don't see the point.Last edited by The Bat; Jan 17, '09, 3:34 PM.sigpicComment

Yes, as well as your unsolicited opinion on any post you make. Thats is what forums are generally about. You didn't like the title of the thread you coulda moved on. That is my unsolicited opinion, but in this case you actually solicited it , now didn't you.Comment

Whatever Man...You knew what you were doing when you started this thread. You've seen how busy the Replica, EMCE, and Cast-A-Way forums are...so you know a lot of People here like Repo Megos. Your intent is crystal clear.sigpicComment

IMO repros are for customs and smaller children...on my originals I want only original parts... (I made and exception for my Silver soldier ape...I had his gloves made from a SS tunic...so it's close)
"Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"
In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.
