    Exactly.
The government has clarified it's stance and has said that resellers of used items do not have to go through the testing.
I just read it in the local paper yesterday as well. Was going to post it in the thread we had in here last week, but forgot about it by the time I got here.

let's not jump the gun here.
With any industry worth $$$$$$$$$$, I'm sure they'll find a way to keep the old "toy industry" going. I'm all for testing new mass-produced toys, especially from China. Everybody knows, they even spike their milk with plastic.

As a "victim" of lead/cadmium and mercury poisoning (I went for the whole package), I can assure you, you don't want it happening to you or your kids. The damage is permanent. (this wasn't caused by my figures, FYI!)
I think the problem here is handcrafted materials that aren't properly tested.
In the old days, people baked items like FIMO clay in their regular oven (used for food, too). No problem, they said. Now they're saying you shouldn't. For certain things, they need some longterm results to see just how safe it is.

I love my toys, but I'd do anything to get my health back.
Well, those are my priorities, of course...

So be safe kids: when playing (with your toys), always...use a protection.....
