    Ratatouille--Did your kids like it?

Just curious, I loved this movie and think it was a masterpiece, especially visually (Incredibles was a bit better, but impossible to compare, really). But given it's setting in a French restaurant, focus on gourmet food, etc....did your kids get into it? Did they get it or enjoy it?

Friday was poker night for me, so my wife took the kids. My son said it wasn't just good, it was great.

I thought it was pretty decent but I prefer Toy Story 1 and 2 and The Incredibles for Disney/Pixar flicks...

My wife and son saw it on a Friday while I was at work, but they both really liked it. My wife rated it around Nemo, and we agree on our Pixar rating so...
              1. The Incredibles
              2. Toy Story 2
              3. Toy Story 1
              4. Monsters Inc.
              5. Cars
              6. Nemo/Ratatoulie (tie)
              7. Bug's Life (the poor ba--ard son of Pixar, it's always the least favorite).

But so far, there is no Pixar clunker, so if they made it, it's worth seeing!

My 5 yr. old liked it. My 3 yr. old didn't make it through. I see a lot of younger kids getting bored with it. I think it's a little too long and subtle for some younger viewers. I'm a huge Pixar fan and while I liked this one, I thought it lagged in the midsectioin. Since someone already did it, here's my Pixar list:

                1. Finding Nemo
                2. Toy Story 2
                3. Toy Story
                4. A Bug's Life
                5. The Incredibles
                6. Ratatouille
                7. Cars
                8. Monsters, Inc.

Bear in mind, I like all of these, just to varying degrees.

Ok, so is Toy Story 2 really that good or is it just the story of our lives?

Is this a typical Pixar film? Are there any real scary scenes? Probably going to see it this weekend, and just want to make sure there is noting to scare my daughter with.

Nothing any more scary than any other Pixar film, and probably less than some. I bet she'll enjoy it!
