Bugs has my vote. His cartoons were always a big deal when I was a kid. Nothing much on tv now that even compares. Mickey is cool and everything, but I never laughed at a Mickey Mouse cartoon.

My wife is a big Mickey Mouse fan and our family loves Disney World BUT I had to go with Bugs Bunny.
His cartoon antics were more accessible as a kid through reruns and Saturday mornings. The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show was a must-see every week.
Now if it was Donald Duck vs. Bugs Bunny I'd have to pick Donald Duck! And Donald over Daffy as well.Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

Mickey has indeed become pretty much nothing but a corporate icon, since Disney will make no time on any of it's various networks to actually show vintage Disney shorts. New shows like House of Mouse and the pre-K Mickey Mouse Clubhouse may be helping this, but theres no denying Bugs Bunny is the better character, and his cartoons have been seen by more kids. Mickey has essentially become Ronald McDonald to Disney.

I never thought of Mickey as a shill ....... not back when I was a kid, anyway.
I just thought the Disney toons were boring.
The Warner toons all felt like an IN-JOKE--- and for some reason, even as a kid--- I felt I was in on it.
They're very appealing-- even today.Comment
