I'm not a sports person, period. Back when I had a boyfriend, we made a deal; he'd go to a Star Trek convention w/ me, if I went to a football game w/ him. In preparation, I watched some football games (under his guidance), and he did the same w/ eps of Star Trek TNG. The game he took me to was the first Raiders game when they returned to Oakland. I understand the basics. All the little nuances elude me. When I worked at my old school (w/ a bigger yard), I could play football w/ my kids. I even have an electric football set for Super Bowl week at school.

Do I watch it on my own? Nah...I still think it's boring.

Is this a case of not appreciating what you have.?

Here in the UK we love the American football but we only get the chance to see a live game on tv now and again. Maybe if it was on here all the time we would tire of it.

American Football is by far the most popular sport in the U.S.

Anyone can argue that baseball is America's game but more people watch Football (if you discount the amount of games played in baseball).

I'm a huge soccer fan as well. I do understand why a lot of people think it is boring due to the low scoring, etc. but once you understand the tactics...it is great.

There is also a fairly new sport that has been around for a while but is really catching on called Futsal. Basically, indoor soccer played on a basketball type surface with a heavier smaller ball and smaller goals. My daughter has been playing in a league and the games are fairly high scoring exciting matches with usually 8 and 9 goals being scored by each team in a game.

I love baseball in person, on TV, etc. I love the strategy and the thinking that has to go on during the game. Love watching American football, too. Most sports are cool.
                      It's all good!

I tell ya. I used to be a big football watcher. I tuned in and knew who played where and there....blah...blah...

I really have lost interest in it since 2004 for some reason. Not sure why. Too many free trades? The reign of dynastys are gone?

                              Who knows...
It just don't seem to catch my interest like it did ten years ago.

I still watch it here and there but I am not up on it like I was about five years or so ago.
More custom Mego madness on Facebook right here...

I like it if I have a team to support ... so since I'm from oregon we have no pro team, I have a love/hate thing going with the Beavers and Ducks. so I guess I'm just a fan of our local Silverton Foxes High School team ... They did good this year first time since the early 90's they made the playoffs, of course they only made the 1st round. But of course the teams coach is former pro player Scott Gregg helps a bit to have someone who knows what they're doing coach
