Found a few of the Autorama pics from when I was a kid (POTA, Batman)

    Hi All,
Took me awhile but found 2 of the pics from the autorama from here in Cleveland (Back in the early 70's) Batman is not wearing his Belt lol (if you have not read Burt Wards book there is a story about why they were late doing the show lol) and Batman said it was because the Batmobile had a Flat tire

Im trying to find more of these pics may take me a few but I will find them

Cool. Wish I had shots of the one I went to. I think it was around 1978 at a Clutch Artists Autorama in Buffalo. They had the Batmobile and Batman & Robin (West & Ward) were on a small stage and signed pics & autographs. I still have mine. The funny thing is what I remember most was a small tear/hole in Batman's cape on the inside near the bottom and you could see some "filling" or whatever was inside the layers causing a white area. LOL
I think they made you choose whose pic you wanted more cuz I only got Batman and I know I would've wanted both if I could've but I did get both their autographs on a scrap of notebook paper. Signed "Batman & Robin" though, LOL but you can match it to the photos & is same handwriting. Not that I plan on selling them. Means more to me as memories than money.
Never saw any live Apes. Man, wish I did. I would've gone ape**** if that happened to me! haha

The only 2 celebs I saw at events in childhood was Miss Louise from Romper Room in NYC, and Henry Winkler making an appearance in Gimbels Dept. store. (the second one was purely by chance and we came in at the end).

Wow. That must have been Bill Blake. How very cool. Never happened to me in childhood. Had I known I would have fought tooth and nail to get to a show. My mom should be thankful I never read the papers as a kid.

When I first saw Adam West way back at the World of Wheels show in the early seventies, he removed his utility belt before he sat down to sign....despite hints to the contrary, that may be why hes not wearing it here?

Were Cornie and Zira just a couple mooks in suits, or McDowall and....(cant remember who played Zira?....sorry Jessica!) in full regalia?

I highly doubt it. They were movie stars and it took hours to get into that makeup. I'd be surprised if they did minor public appearances at shows and such.
Kim Hunter and Roddy McDowall are the names you're looking for.

The people who toured the country as Cornelius and Zira were Paula Crist and Bill Blake. They had Fox's blessings to promote the show I think.
