So I guess the same can be said about the Redskins since they kicked the Eagles *****%&& not once but twice this season.

All kidding aside, the Eagles are a good team and I give them credit for making it this far. I can only judge how good teams are by the way they played the Redskins and yes, the Redskins played all 4 teams who are now in the championship. They really didn't have too much trouble beating the Cardinals or the Eagles but the Steelers and Ravens ran them over.

As much as I would like to see the Cardinals or Eagles for that matter win; I think the Cards are going to be done this weekend and whoever survives the brutal AFC championship is going to win the Super Bowl. They both have killer defenses...something the Cards and Eagles both lack.

Finally, regarding sports salaries that was mentioned above. I work in the Accounting/Finance field and there is a general consensus going around that professional sports is going to be next to get smacked by the economy. When the average family can't afford to take their family to a professional baseball game something is wrong. We also think colleges are going to feel it too. My son is still 4 years away but I have talked to a lot of parents who are seriously considering sending their children to community college for two years before sending them off to university to save money. It will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Naw Jason I do get what your saying, yeah making it to the SB 4 times I'd give more credit then just the NFC championship, cause he's only made it to the SB one time and lost it

^^^ Just like the Pats last year, none of the wins mattered when they crashed and burned at the big dance.

The Bills with all that cannot be held in the Same regard as The Cowboys, Steelers,49er's and every other great Football Franchise. They will always be looked at as the team that didn't get the job done when it mattered.

The Atlanta Braves were almost like that but they were able to win one World series during their run of post season appearances.
    Exactly.

I'd take ONE lone Super Bowl title over a million second place runner ups.

The Defense is fun to watch too,.. Since they aquired Samuels,.. you Know someone is getting picked off,.. it's just a matter of What play it's gonna be.

Hats off to Andy Ried. For everyone who Loves the Eagles,.. they seem to can't wait to Boo this guy outta town. The Man is gonna make his 5th appearance in the NFC Championship Game in what, 12 yrs ?... That is a Fantastic achievement alone. Any team, should ever be so lucky, considering they By Far have played in the toughest Division in FootBall in them 12 yrs too.

My Bad, I meant Half a Billion. Hey again, if you think it is cool that in today's economy when people are struggling and losing their jobs that "YOUR" team spends nearly $500 million is 'ok' then I guess your entitled. If that were the Phils I would be disgraced. However, NY has always been in their own world when it comes to baseball. Back to football, it is your opinion on the vanilla statement...I do not see it. I mean the Eagles have one of the most dynamic players in Brian Westbrook and a first ballot Hall of Famer in Brian Dawkins who still at his age flys around the ball.

I figured you Giants fans would bring up "the rings" statement. It is true, but old every time I hear it. Sometimes I wish "some" NY fans would actually give other teams credit when they kick your *****%&& not once but twice.

Now perhaps all you Yankees fans will get a chance for a World Series title since you just spent nearly half a million this offseason trying to buy it.

    All in good jest.

    Peace out
You can be defensive and still have a personality! Philly is vanilla all the way around. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz................

more like half a Billion I gotta give the yankees props though, they do w/e it takes to win.I wish the owner of my team would do that, and I bet everyone here wishes the same thing. It's not illegal to spend w/e you want in baseball so why not take advantage of it

Most people don't know this but the Cardinals are the oldest existing franchise still in the NFL. They have moved around to a few cities but they have been around longer than the Bears, Packers, Giants, Redskins, Steelers, Eagles which I think are the remaining older teams....and yet have never even come close to winning a Super Bowl.

I think they have a couple of World Championships under the belt (pre-Super bowl days) but that's about it.
